I hail from the good old traditional Northern Suburbs of Cape Town and even though Bellville is best known for its Bellville Rock, I had great opportunities to visit the winelands from a very young age. My uncle has a winery in Stellenbosch and I spent a great deal of time there, meeting the likes of Jeremy Walker and Guy Webber at a very young age and from there, my absolute passion for Pinotage grew. 

Being able to travel the world over the last ten years I have been very fortunate to be part of many cultures, experiences, food and wine styles. I love food, music and good company. My time is spent with my partner and we are both avid animal lovers and spend as much time with our furry children. 

Rooiberg is a great challenge and a very exciting chapter in my career. It has thus far offered great opportunities and the future looks very interesting. The Breede Valley is home now and by any stretch of the imagination, not a bad place to be.
